MEI Offers New Trade-In Program to Help Operators Update Bill Validator Technology

Choose Language:
WEST CHESTER, Pa., April 1, 2008 – For operators using non-Flash programmable validators, maximizing sales by accepting the new $5 bill requires time and capital to update a validator’s control board. To simplify this process, MEI is offering U.S. full-line vending and amusement operators the opportunity to trade in their existing bill validators for a credit toward the purchase of the latest MEI Series 2000, Flash-programmable validators already equipped to accept the new bill. The Flash-programmable feature will make future currency updates easier.

From now until May 15, operators replacing non-Flash MEI 2000 series validators qualify for a $40 credit, while trading in other MEI validators and non-MEI validators qualifies them for a $20 credit. They can trade in their validators through their local MEI distributor. For a full list of MEI distributors, visit

“This is a great opportunity for operators to update their fleet of older validators,” said Chris Mumford, senior director of sales for MEI Vending channel. “The latest MEI Series 2000 validators automatically accept the new $5 bill and utilize Flash-programmable technology to allow fast, one-step currency updates.”
